We are Meridian Geographics (MerGeo), a Seattle-based producer of trail runs, adventure races and urban and rural navigation races. MerGeo has volunteer and paid opportunities to help support its services and events, including Street Scramble.
The opportunities include a variety of part-time jobs, large and small, that are available to someone with the needed skills and interest. Compensation depends on qualifications and scope of the work.

Meridian Geographics (“MerGeo”), Seattle-based producer of trail runs, adventure races, and urban and wilderness navigation races, seeks experienced marketing specialist to grow attendance for an established schedule of 40 outdoor events annually.
The Marketing Director will either:
Commit to 2 years’ work with compensation tied closely to growth and opportunity for permanent position if desired
OR
Work on a consulting basis with goal of hiring and grooming a junior marketing specialist to serve as continuing Marketing Director
The Marketing Director will work with other management staff to design and implement the company’s marketing activities. Elements may include, but are not limited to, sponsorship, advertising, social media, website, branding, co-promotion, swag, press releases, and blogging. Hiring of additional staff is a possibility. Applicants will be asked to attend one or more MerGeo events and to outline their ideas for achieving growth, citing previous experience. Great opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors and wants to build a vibrant participant community around a set of appealing, well-designed events.
Data Manager
Meridian Geographics (“MerGeo”), Seattle-based producer of trail runs, adventure races, and urban and wilderness navigation races, seeks part-time worker (approximately 10-25 hrs/wk, depending on job scope) who is comfortable working in an online environment and is experienced with spreadsheets (Excel) and database systems (such as Access) to enter and manage participant data, race registrations, race results/rankings, and event accounting. A plus if you can also do website updates, social media, graphic design, and/or have excellent writing skills. Must be accurate, responsive, and reliable. Some work can be done at home (you need your own computer), and some work must be done at our Magnuson Park office, or occasionally at event sites in regional parklands. Many opportunities for advancement. Pay is $10/hr to start plus free race entries.
