MerGeo.com Adventure Racing Team: 2005 Nav Training and Photos

Eric organized a couple days of navigation training for the team on the sunny and cold weekend of December 10-11. An indoor session on Saturday morning was followed by exercises targetted to specific techniques--compass use, contour navigation, map handling, etc.--at Woodland Park. We went out to dinner afterward at Araya's--great vegetarian Thai food...highly recommended! On Sunday, we piled in Franklin's van and headed to the Teanaway area, near Cle Elum, WA, for almost 6 hours of challenging trekking navigation in the snow. Here are more photos
